Nathan was born to us on October 29, 1984. Truly a gift from God. I had found out in the first few weeks of pregnancy that I was expecting twins and we were so excited. Then the complications began and his sibling was lost and only by God's mercy was Nathan given to us. He almost made his entrance into the world at 5 months, then again at 7 months and in his impatience to be born was delivered at 8 months, beautiful and healthy. It had been a joke from conception that I would have a brown haired, brown eyed girl to bring home to the three sons we had already been blessed with, but at his arrival all thoughts of a daughter were forgotten and we knew at first sight that the precious little red haired, hazel eyed boy was what was meant to be.
As a baby he was such a joy, most mornings
began with him cooing and laughing.
A clown at a very young age, he loved to make everyone laugh.
He so loved and looked up to his brothers
and dad,
you could see the adoration in his eyes,
his beautiful blue-green-gray eyes.
Sometimes they danced as they sparkled, then at times they were deep grey pools.
Baseball and football was such a big part
of his life.
From T-Ball to High School he was a natural athlete.
He always played his heart out anywhere you put him on the field.
He loved to win but rarely got an attitude if it didn't turn out that way.
Michael & Nathan at the hunting camp.
Hunting and fishing was a pure joy to
him.
Not so much the sport but his love of nature and the outdoors.
He respected the life that he took and never wasted it.
His future plans was for him and Beau to have a bass fishing show.
He was so in hopes of getting that 'Big Buck' this year.
Granny & Granddad's 50th anniversary party.
His unconditional love for his family and
special friends, his forgiving heart,
winning smile, red hair and freckles are the things that I love most about him.
To know him...was to love him.
God I miss him.
